  • Problem : The pump experienced leaking everyday due to its sleeve was already worn out and scratched, every new packing installation only lasted 1 week. While the pump could not be stopped for a long time due to the production continuity, the replacement of shaft sleeve took too long time. Hence, the solution was split seal, that needs only 2 hours to replace it.

  • MTBF previous Seal : 1 Week

  • Current seal : Mechseal 442 Size 160mm

  • Material : cramic /Carbon- FKM

  • Time of Installation : 2 hours in the Field

  • Operation : The 442 single seal was installed on 10th June 2017

  • Commissioning : 10th June 2017 until 30th October 2020 running smoothly
