Chesterton Mechanical Packing 377 CarbMax™ contains the best characteristics of a high performance, single spool packing to increase sealing reliability in both new and older equipment.
This packing can effectively seal in harsh, rotating environments, improve the overall efficiencies of a plant’s operations, and increase the Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR).
The 377 CarbMax™ Packing is made from high tensile strength, continuous, multi-filament, and high-carbon yarns braided into a high-density packing with very low relaxation after the initial installation.
This ensures a decrease in packing adjustments which translates into an improvement in the packing break-in period.

This packing has high thermal conductivity, allowing it to run cool by dissipating frictional heat away from the dynamic sealing surface.
Its chemical resistance and rugged construction ensure a long life for the packing so that the equipment can do what it is designed to do—without interference.
